Whether you make it yourself in the morning with freshly ground beams, or whether you buy it from your favorite third wave coffee shop on your way to work. What is for many of us, is that coffee plays a big part in our morning routine.
We challenge you this week to ditch your morning cup of joe. Does it seem impossible? Think again! Here are a few alternatives just as - if not more energizing to replace your morning coffee:
1. Chia Lemonade
Lemon is rich in Vitamin C and chia seeds are super-food that will provide you with stamina and continuous energy, as well as a ton of other great benefits (fibre, omega 3, minerals, etc.). A super morning energy-bomb !
Recipe: in a big glass of cold water, add the juice of a lemon, a tablespoon of chia seeds and a few drops of liquid stevia to sweeten it up (optional). Stir well and let it sit for 5 min so the chia seeds have time to absorb the water and thicken up. Enjoy !
2. Green Smoothies
Riches in fibre, nourishing and full of vitamins, green smoothies are your best friend on busy mornings. You can prepare them the night before. Here's an easy recipe if you're new at green smoothies: blend a banana, an apple, an orange and a cup of spinach with a cup of water and a cup of ice. Store in Mason jar and in your handbag it goes!
3. White Rose Tea
This tea has a delicate and refined taste and will surely find its place in your mornings. Rich in caffeine, despite popular belief, it is also easier to consume on an empty stomach than green or black teas. Pick a white tea with Rose petals in it, because they are famous for being rich in Vitamin C and for their fragrant aroma.
